Light Painting

During one of our night sessions in Bodie back in 2014 I tried whipping "El wire" around for a few frames to see if I could make a "smoke" effect. The technique needs some adjustment on the exposure and post-processing sides, but it was a fun experiment.

Our Bodie night photography workshops are more than 3/4 full for 2016; registration for three of our five dates has been closed. The main remaining dates are July 29 and August 28: http://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/blog/bodie-night-photography-workshops/
Those two dates were chosen to be adjacent to nights when the park will let visitors stay in the park until 10 pm, so although those nights will of course be more crowded, at least you can get some extra sunset and twilight time in the park.

When they're gone, they're gone, but we practice night photography in our other workshops as well: www.JeffSullivanPhotography.com.
