  1. There seems a bit more water in the Merced, +Jeff Sullivan , than when Debbie and I were there a couple weeks ago. I think I remember hearing that something like half the meager Sierra snowmelt disappeared in just one warm-weather week! Whatever snow found the Sierra these past couple days will be filling streams come the middle of next week – the Central Valley's looking at high 80s! Bye bye "winter" and hello "summer."

  3. Yosemite should be closed until it is safe. The company contracted to run it is incompetent & daily jeopardizes visitors. Believe me, I learned the hard way that safety of visitors is of no consequences to this company and consequently to our Federal Government.
