Great Basin School of Photography

Like many photographers I'm looking over my results from 2013, trying to decide if I can hone them down to a handful of favorites.  I've started to collect a few in an album here on G+: https://plus.google.com/photos/+JeffreySullivan/albums/5959143656130701041

I'll have to work fast if I want to get a short list done in time for the annual lists of "best of" lists.  I often don't get that far… picking 10 or 12 seems like a disservice to the other 1000+ new photos I produce each year!  That's particularly true since many of the shots I've taken in the past 3 years have been documentary-style shots to document a place… a totally different objective than the high drama which can be popular for many art print style shots.  
I often tend to gravitate towards moments and places.  Best shots… best for what?
