Planning and Composing Moon / Landscape Alignments

It's time for the +Landscape Photography Show again tomorrow night.  Last time I covered night photography exposures for the Milky Way and for producing star trails and time-lapse videos.  This time the gracious hosts have invited me to talk about moon photography.

My particular passion is trying to catch interesting compositions where I can zoom in to make the moon large near some interesting natural or man-made landmark.  Some planning is required to pull that off, so I'll describe how I've done it in the past and how my approach has evolved.  To present the latest and greatest tool, I've asked +Rafael Pons to join us to demonstrate the unique features of the PhotoPills app to help plan these alignments.  This is a live event, and we'll be taking questions form the audience as we go.

The event details to attend the live broadcast tomorrow night can be found here:

I hope you can join us!
