A few posts ago I suggested that you look up the moon rise times around sunset in the days leading up to the full moon. In the days after the full moon you can catch the nearly-full moon setting at sunrise as well. Here are a couple of my my blog posts describing the process so you can plan for next month's sunset moon rises and sunrise moon sets:

+Lori Hibbett and I are several days into a 10 day, 1000 mile lap of the Sierra Nevada. It rained last night, and we woke up to 33 degree temperature at 6400 feet. When we caught a view of the Sierra Nevada, it looks like the snow level is about 8000 feet. We're currently passing between Sequoia National monument and Sequoia National Park, and the dogwood trees are just starting to turn color.
I'll try to touch base from time to time over the next few days, but spare time and Internet service are both rare commodities as we work through our long list of locations to visit!
