Join me for night photography at the ghost town of Bodie

+Lori Hibbett and I are gradually getting announcements out with registration links for our various types of workshops this year.  Our most popular destination last year was Bodie State Historic Park, and we'll be taking photographers there for more night and interior sessions this year.  The first night session we're taking enrollments for will be the night before the annual Friends of Bodie Day special event and BBQ, in case you'd like to come up for both:

Bodie Night Photography Workshops in 2013
Last year +Lori Hibbett and I (+Jeff Sullivan) led several groups of photographers into Bodie State Historic Park for night photography.  This year we'll offer three types of workshop packages to Bodie:

– Single sunset and night session from 6 pm – 1 am
– Night plus sunrise and interior access session 5 am – noon
– "Best of Eastern Sierra" night photography workshop including a night at Bodie

The blog post is up for the first night session, August 9, 2013.  This will be one of the most popular workshops of the year.  We'll have a crescent moon set, enjoy dark skies for stunning Milky Way shots, the Perseid meteor shower will be underway for bonus fireballs streaking through some shots, and we always do a little light painting as well.

We chose to offer this workshop on a Friday because many people will want to come and also attend the annual Friends of Bodie event on the following day, where we can enjoy special tours, people in period dress, antique cars, and sign up for the BBQ dinner.

Here's more detail on my blog:
