Golden Gate Bridge from Kirby Cove

I wasn't able to make it to the recent photowalk in San Francisco, but the beach they visited is one of my favorites.  I last visited October 2011, so I think it's time for a return trip!

Beached
After the moon rose in the sky a bit I was able to get some nice moon shine on this beach by the Golden Gate Bridge, but the shady side of this massive chunk of wood was still too dark, so I used a flashlight to give it a bit more definition.

  1. I very much prefer incandescent flashlights +Mike Martin, especially if there's other light pollution around, since a lot of that is incandescent as well.  If you choose to color correct it (not leave it so warm), the correction is more consistent across the image.

  2. That wood is so great we might ask ourselves a question what is the main object of this photo.  The bridge beautifully lit at night with a nice old wooden door  adding extra interest to the dark patch of the beach. Or vice versa.  But whatever you chose to call it, stunning capture.
