Fall snow at Topaz Lake.
Woke up to 12″ of snow on the ground outside my house, about 8″ down at the lake. It continued to snow off and on through mid-day, then the clouds started to break, and the sun started to shine through. We had stunning fall colors on the cottonwood trees around the lake a couple of days earlier, and some colorful leaves survived the wind as the storm was moving in the day before.
I couldn’t resist the temptation to get a few turns in on my skis, but although fairly deep, the snow was too light! Upon turning, I scraped the pavement with the edges of my skis. Oh well, it was fun to be on skis again!
