Don't forget to consider black and white conversion for some of your digital photos. I'm thinking of conducting a black and white workshop in Bodie this year. Contact me if that sounds interesting to you.
If you're a +500px member, you may be eligible for a free copy of +on1 Perfect Effects 9 software to give yourself more options for black and white conversion (as well as many color effects as well). Here's my blog post today on the offer:

I used Perfect Effects 8 to convert this image to black and white. I'll start adding more of the images I processed with PE to an album here on G+: https://plus.google.com/photos/+JeffreySullivan/albums/6122821450547274577

+Daniel Schwabe I've been doing more b&w conversion since getting a copy of Perfect Effects 8. I received an offer of a free copy of PE9 from 500px last week. You may have received a similar offer:

Sounds interesting to me, +Jeff Sullivan
Black and white is my preferred medium for Bodie. I like PE 8 but lately have really started to get into Tonality Pro. If you use a Mac it's worth a look.
