The wildflower bloom in most Death Valley locations wasn't as profuse in 2015 as it was in 2005 or even 2010, but there were patches of impressive density when I visited the park past month.

+Kimberly A Edwards Late April is late for the valley floor like this, but the park had elevations over 11,000 feet and spring moves up in elevation for months, so check with the visitor centers and they may be able to refer you to where flowers are blooming that week. There is also a wildflower report periodically posted to the park's FB page.
