How Well Does the iPhone 6 Plus Camera Perform in Actual Use?

Specifications are one thing, but actual use is the only real indicator of quality in a mobile phone camera. These iPhone 6 Plus photos from Iceland look better than most DSLR photos I see from Iceland here on G+:

Compared side by side with iPhone 5S photos, there's better dynamic range for lower noise in low light situations, the new optical image stabilization results in sharper pictures, and the autofocus works netter in low light. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos posted by +Brian Matiash on the +Google+ Photos team from his new iPhone 6 Plus.

This year I had the opportunity to be at Apple’s Keynote where they
announced the iPhone 6, 6 Plus and the Watch. It was truly a sight to

  1. have shot with just about every popular camera model on the market from cell phones all the way up to cameras and lenses, but I checked my Light room stats this week and found that of my photos taken in the last year were taken with the iPhone camera.
