From our last night photography workshop at Bodie State Historic Park on August 30, 2014. I can't wait to go back out in a couple of weeks. With the sun setting around 6:30, we'll have over 4.5 hours of night shooting, roughly double what is available when the sun sets much later in mid-summer!

+Sharon King Thanks. The biggest expense in landscape, travel and night photography can be the travel expenses, so mostly I shoot very close to home. Here in Bodie, only 45 miles from my house, I teach night photography workshops, so your question is like asking, "How can you afford to go to work?" The answer is simple: It's what I'm paid to do.
