A late afternoon rainbow a couple of days ago at Topaz Lake, in the Eastern Sierra on the California – Nevada border. You can just make out the second rainbow above, which unfortunately never quite became prominent.

Often the rain is mainly occurring on the mountains across the lake from us, and in the mountains behind us , and that was the pattern on this day as well +Robert Greenwalt.
