  1. +Jeff Sullivan Yes, it was a lesson I learned, among many, from participating in that event. I wish I could join you again in another workshop, but alas, my travels have taken me elsewhere. I will be doing a short 5 day trip to Iceland in late June, prior to another professional engagement, as my birthday present. I look at it as a first scouting trip for a longer stay at a later opportunity…
How about your book? I reckon it should be coming out soon, no?;-)

  2. +Daniel Schwabe My book is nearly completed, but it'll take roughly 6 months to get through the production cycle to print.

If you take a tour in Iceland, make sure that the operator is fully licensed, so they don't get arrested and/or deported in the middle of your trip:

As I understand their rules, tour operators must be local residents and that helps ensure that Iceland's relatively high taxes are paid on all profits: http://www.ferdamalastofa.is/en/licences-legislation/tour-operator/

I definitely want to lead tours there, through and with a licensed local resident of course.  Lori used to work for an Icelandic company, so she has been there several times and we have some local contacts.

  3. +Jeff Sullivan Thanks for the advice. I will, however, "hack it" on my own. I've been studying and researching for several months now, and talked to people who have been/are there, to get advice and tips (one of the lessons I learned from you ;-)!).

Btw, if you have any, they would be more than welcome. I'll be doing essentially the South Coast (not even Reykjavik and nearby areas), because of the short time.
