  1. Is the road open +Keith Cuddeback?  Often it doesn't until Memorial Day or so.  It's snowing pretty hard down to 6000 feet or so in the Eastern Sierra today (at least here neat the northern edge of Mono County), and another storm is coming next week…

  2. Beautiful work Jeff. It recalls to me one that I took of a similar old Ponderosa Pine tree in our Oregon High Dessert at the Oregon Star Party in 1992, 1993, 1994,  & 1995, but mine were only done with my 1973 Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL 35mm camera and Kodak Gold and Ektar films. You have captured much deeper into the sky with new digital techcnology. My best two  of the four years, were both published full page in Astronomy Magazine in Sept and Dec 1994. Here is a compilation of all four years just to show more of the "old world", sorry if a pun, "the old world of film"    >  http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/1579463287/photos/2878995/rob-s-tree-four-years_-panel-v2-crop
